20 Amp USB Charger

Most USB chargers are limited to about 2 Amps. I needed more power!

I glued eight USB sockets to a metal plate and soldered two thick copper wires across the outer pins. I added hot-melt adhesive to insulate and strengthen it.

I connected a cheap 5 volt 20 Amp Switch Mode Power Supply Unit from eBay, using 3 flexible wires in parallel to carry the current.

A box that originally contained twist drills was modified to make a cover by melting out an opening with a soldering iron (using a scrap, worn-out bit).
